Life at St. Peter’s Summer 2018 Worship, Programs, and Events Calendar. This parish life resource of offerings for the remainder of June, July, and August is now available online by clicking here. Printed versions are also available in all public spaces at St. Peter’s.

During the summer months our Catechesis of the Good Shepherd atria are closed, coinciding with the academic program calendar. However, parents and children are still encouraged to attend church as often as possible. This opportunity allows children to experience the Liturgy of the Word in “big church” providing exposure to the scripture readings, sermon and music. The nursery is available on Sunday morning, 7:30-12:30 p.m., serving children from birth to age three. During summer months, we relax the age limit upon request. For more information on both including and welcoming children in worship at St. Peter’s, click here.

Reservations Open for Parish Retreat, September 14–16. Plans are underway for this year’s parish retreat to Kanuga Episcopal Conference & Retreat Center in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Reservations are now open in Realm and more details will be released soon by the Retreat Design Team. You may also give to the Parish Retreat Fund, which provides scholarships for fellow parishioners and offsets general expenses.

Community Life

Summer Sunday Coffee Hour. A note from our Coffee Hour Baristas regarding Summer Coffee Hour: We love serving you after the 10:45 a.m. service, but due to our summer vacations, we will be providing only coffee, lemonade, and water for the next few weeks. We will be back in action with refreshments beginning August 26. As always, we welcome food offerings from parishioners throughout the year, and summer is no exception. Just drop them by the break room before the service.

Summer Parish House Hours. Through August 20, the Parish House is closed on Mondays. Hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. For hospital or pastoral emergencies concerning a member, or facilities management emergency matters, contact the Clergy On Call at 704-749-6175, and leave a detailed message. On Mondays, clergy and staff members may be reached via email. Morning Prayer continues as scheduled, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–8:30 a.m.

Holy Faces Needed for Parish Photo Directory. Our whole parish community benefits from connecting names with faces through pictures of individuals and households in Realm.
