St. Peter’s Episcopal Church has a strong history of serving God’s people with radical love and through acts of kindness and outreach. We are also committed to working toward policy reforms that move people in need from dependency to self-sufficiency, dignity, health, and a higher quality of life.
One way we are called to act on these values is by supporting the work of partner agencies and organizations whose services have such a great impact in the lives of our fellow Charlotteans. We recognize the critical work you are doing in our community.

Criteria and Application Process
St. Peter’s Social Justice and Outreach grants usually range from $1,000 to $5,000, though gifts up to $10,000 are possible. We typically support organizations with budgets of under $4MM in order to have the greatest impact with limited grant dollars, but also consider organizations with larger budgets who have historic ties to St. Peter’s, or who serve a specific need which is not addressed by smaller organizations in the region. We limit our funding to organizations operating within Mecklenburg County.

Applying for an Outreach and Social Justice Grant from St. Peter’s is a two-part process, beginning with a formal application. The application period will open on July 1, 2026 and applications are due by noon on August 31, 2026.
Step two in the process is our annual Outreach and Social Justice Grant Luncheon, which will take place at the church on Thursday, September 10th from 11:30 – 1:00. This is an in-person opportunity to join fellow organizations, members of our grants committee, and our clergy for lunch in our parish hall. There, you or your representative will be able to introduce your organization and briefly tell us about the work you are doing, the people you serve, and your hopes for the year ahead.
