Charlotte Choir School, in residence at St. Peter’s, presents Christmas at Charlotte Choir School, its twenty-ninth annual Christmas concerts, Friday and Saturday, December 10 and 11, 2021 in the nave. We invite the entire St. Peter’s community to join us for a program that features all of Charlotte Choir School’s five ensembles under the direction of artistic director Elizabeth Lenti.
“We cherish the opportunity to help Charlotte ring in the holiday season each year,” Elizabeth Lenti said. “Join us once again in person for a program that celebrates the beauty and magic of Christmas — all the more beautiful after two challenging years.”
After the beloved holiday tradition was presented virtually last year, the 2021 Christmas concerts return in person this season. Program highlights include familiar Christmas favorites and new repertoire that are sure to put you and your family in the holiday spirit. We know this has become an annual tradition for many in our community, and we can’t wait to have you join us.
Favorite arrangements include “The Twelve Days of Christmas” (arr. John Rutter), “Go tell it on the mountain” (arr. Stacey Gibbs), “Jingle Bells,” and “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” performed with the congregation. The program also features newer works, including Latvian composer Ēriks Ešenvalds’ “Stars,” a favorite of our choristers. Tickets are on sale now at charlottechoirschool.org. St. Peter’s members receive preferred pricing now through Friday for tickets purchased online; use code SPECMember at checkout to unlock the offer.
